Modeling Primary Structures in FEM

For Structural Analysts and Dynamists

How to model common primary structural components with finite elements to generate structural margins for verification of designs.

In this hands-on training, we will begin with the preparation of your problem for FEM, how to prepare the finite element model, modeling all common primary structures, model verification, and how to best post process the results.

We will also delve into advanced topics include modeling for fatigue, DaDT, and ultimate analysis.

We supply the software to facilitate these tasks during the training. While the primary focus is on modeling in NASTRAN, the concepts are general and apply to all production, enterprise-class finite element packages.

Key takeaways:

– How to prepare the finite element model
– Modeling all common primary structures
– Verification and post processing results
– Modeling for fatigue, DaDT and ultimate analysis
