Nastran Bulk Deck Literacy

For Structural Analysts and Dynamists

Advanced Nastran training to competently manage system-level integration FEMs. There will be a focus on using the minimum number of element types to provide maximum portability and reduce errors and model limitations in the future.

Advanced topics include optimizing the solver for speed increases of 2-4x, super-element reduction, interial relief, and setting up static non-linear analyses.

This training provides 80/20 rule solutions for most configurations seen in production and then provides the resources for the designer and analyst to investigate further as required.

Who is this training for?

This is advanced training on using Nastran advanced capabilities. It is designed for engineers who are comfortable editing bulk decks in an advanced text editor, and advanced Nastran functionality not available through common graphical user interfaces.

Key takeaways:

– How to manage system-level integration FEMs
– Optimizing the solver for 2-4X speed increases
– Super element reduction
– Setting up static non-linear analyses
